  Arriving early for the anniversary weekend? Begin your celebration with a guided coach tour of one of the world's great capital cities.

  On Thursday, September 16, the day before the anniversary weekend opens, UGAANA invites you to explore Washington, DC in the company of fellow University of Ghana alumni. From the comfort of a coach, we will take in the landmarks that define the American capital, with stops to step out, take photographs, and take it all in: the White House, the United States Capitol, and the sweep of the National Mall, with its memorials to Lincoln, Washington, and the nation's history.

  It is more than sightseeing. It is a relaxed, unhurried day to reconnect with old friends, meet alumni from across North America, and set the tone for a weekend of celebration, before the formal program begins.

  This tour is offered free of charge as a gift to our early arrivals. UGAANA is proud to absorb the cost so that as many members as possible can take part.

  Only 100 Places Available

  To keep the experience comfortable and personal, seating is capped at 100 guests. Once those places are filled, registration will close. If you are arriving early, reserve your seat now, before it is gone.

  A Decade of Excellence: Quantum Ascent in Shaping the Future of UGAANA

  In 2027, the University of Ghana Alumni Association of North America marks ten years of service, leadership, and impact. Join us September 17 to 19, 2027, at the Hilton Washington DC / Rockville for a three-day celebration of everything this community has built.

  For a decade, UGAANA has turned the bond among Legon alumni in North America into something tangible: full scholarships for brilliant students who could not otherwise afford to study, strategic support for our alma mater, and outreach that has reached communities on both sides of the Atlantic.

  The 2027 celebration honors that legacy and looks ahead to the next decade. As proud alumni of the University of Ghana, we carry Legon's spirit of scholarship and service into everything we do.

  The Weekend

  Akwaaba Night: a warm Ghanaian welcome to open the celebration.

  Congress: the business and vision of UGAANA's next decade.

  Dinner Dance: the anniversary gala and fundraising centerpiece.

  Picnic: food, family, and fellowship in a relaxed setting.

  Tour: a guided tour of Washington's landmarks, including the White House, the Capitol, and the National Mall.

  Registration

  Full Weekend Package, Single: $170 per person. Covers Akwaaba Night, Congress, the Dinner Dance, and the Picnic.

  Full Weekend Package, Couple: $300 per couple, a saving of $40 over two single tickets.

  Picnic Only: $10 per person.

  Tour: a free side event on Thursday, September 16, the day before the weekend begins, for those arriving early. Offered at no cost and separate from the Full Weekend Package. Register now to reserve your place; the meeting point and time will be shared with registrants closer to the event.

  Venue and Accommodation

  Hilton Washington DC / Rockville Hotel & Executive Meeting Center, 1750 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852. A room block is available for attendees. Rooms can host up to four guests, which makes sharing an easy way to reduce cost. Hotel booking details will be posted here as soon as they are confirmed.

  Support the Scholarship Drive

  This anniversary is also a fundraising milestone. Our goal is to raise $100,000 for the 10th Anniversary Fund, sending brilliant, financially disadvantaged students to the University of Ghana. Every gift, at any size, carries a student forward.
